This is by far the most time-consuming piece I've done. I'm extremely happy with how Colbert came out. I was worried about capturing him, but I think I achieved it. Stewart was a challenge, but I managed to finish him without going crazy.

Three reference pics(one for Stewart's head, one for his body, and one for Colbert) were used. This was all hand-drawn and painted on the computer without tracing or grids. I can happily say I won't be painting any black suits for a while. :faint:


Time: on and off for a month

Wacom graphire4
3 reference pictures.


I'd really love some feedback on them, if any of you have any. :)

Ah, the arched eyebrow. Classic. It's really nice to see a celebrity portrait that doesn't look like a another screenshot from movie. It looks lively and real.

Doesn't Colbert wear glasses though?

You should send Colbert an email with a small jpeg of this, I'd bet he'd put it on his show. He loves being worshipped by fans :)
